Transforming Matariki stars

Today we used our new angle, length, shape and symmetry knowledge to make transforming matariki stars. We watched a video and followed the instructions step by step, pausing as we went along. We found it useful clarifying with a buddy and supporting each other. We made them for our matariki disco on Thursday.

Enviro Day 19.6.20

Today we had another action packed enviroday.

Whaea Meg's group built a fourth veggie planter box. Thank you to her husband Max for coming in to help.

Kowhai class made yummy home grown kale chips.

Whaea Jorja's group made some lovely smoothies with our school bananas and radishes, and apparently they made apple crumble too!

Rob's group went fishing with our homemade flax fishing rods and hinake.

Thanks also to Whaea Petrina and Mrs Bates for helping out and having fun with us down at the wetlands.
