Ukulele lessons with Tups

Today we started learning to play the ukulele with Tups. He made it really fun. We enjoyed learning c, f sharp and g chords and playing them in time together.

Enviro Day 17,10,21

Today we all had to work hard as a team to get the pond fenced completely so the ducks can't escape. We cut wire and made pegs to hammer the fence netting into the ground and we finally got the hawk scarers up.

Scrambled egg for breakfast

Now that we have more ducks we are getting more eggs. This means that we can regularly serve scrambled egg on toast at breakfast club.

Mustelid Traps

Today was the first day back after a nice two week break. Kauri class got straight back into it and used some off eggs as bait in our new mustelid traps. It was great having Willie back to show us how to set the traps!

New Ducks

Over the holidays Rob bought six new ducks so that we can have more eggs for breakfast club. Scout helped to collect them and put them in the pond too.

Pottery Practise

Over the holidays Rob, Susan and Scout decided to visit Joyce in Kaitaia to learn more about pottery ready for market day next term. We learnt heaps about using pottery wheels and how to use our slip moulds.
